It is with great honor and pleasure that I welcome you to the 74th Congress of the Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology from 10 to 13 October 2018 in Athens, at the Divani
The scientific program focuses on Orthopedic Trauma as well as onlast data concerning the Orthopedic Specialty. From this perspective, distinguished Orthopedics surgeons from Greece and abroad were invited and they are honoring us with their participation an d scientific contribution.
Having as an objective to put together a balanced scientific program all HAOST Sections have responded our call to organize HAOST Section Symposiums covering all main subjects
At the same time, various lectures sessions were included, while the scientific program is being supported by colleagues from other specialties. This year the successful EFORT FORA event will take place within the Congress while we have also included European Hip Society Symposium.
During this year’s conference, within the framework of the scientific program, we tend to introduce an innovation by organizing a training course for the European Diploma Exam preparation. Our colleagues, all accredited examiners, are going to take part in a seminar that it will surely be established.
An additional innovation is the Residents Special Session (RSS), during which residents will present free papers in English with the aim of distinguishing themselves by awarding two travelling fellowships.
Of particular interest are the interactive sessions on the last day of the scientific program. Excellent colleagues are going to present their experience from complex patient cases by inviting the audience to participate live in the debate.
The scientific tradition of the Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology it has become an institution during all these years and is reinforced every single year by the active participation of us all.
